1. If inhaled, move the person exposed to Hexyl salicylate to fresh air; if breathing is difficult, give oxygen; if not breathing, give artificial respiration and consult a physician.
2. If in eyes, rinse Hexyl salicylate cautiously with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, and get medical attention if irritation persists.
